The eleventh and the final season of the married with children premiered on 28th September 1996. The season aired a total of twenty four episodes. In the first episode, Bud tries to get a girl to bed by simulating a tornado but fails when the girl comes to know about his intentions. Later a real tornado hits the city and D’Arcy’s take refuge in The Bundy’s basement with Al and Jefferson going out secretly to a nudie bar. On learning the truth about the making of shoes sold in the shop, Al and Griff try to blackmail Gary for a raise while Peggy along with Kelly tries to hide from Al the fact of winning a microwave. Kelly gets selected to play a nun in a national olive oil commercial on the condition of signing a Morals Clause, which requires her to remain chaste while Al is selected to play the role of Officer Dan’s partner on Cops and invades the D’Arcy household. Al becomes depressed by his favorite Dodge breaking down when the car doctor tells him that it can be revived with a fuel pump transplant but the trouble is that the fuel pumps are rarely found.
So the family starts trading the spare parts of the Dodge behind Al’s back while he reminisces about his the good times he spent with his father and his Dodge. When the Dodge finally dies, Al arranges a funeral service for it and buries it in his backyard. On being told that he can’t afford a new car, he goes on to rent a sports car while Jefferson uses his connections from his secret past to find a rare fuel pump for Al. When Al goes to visit his aunt with Griff to taste one of her potato pies, he finds out that she has just died and has left only one pie which Al tries to sneak away from others attending the funeral. Meanwhile, the D’Arcy’s are left without a turkey on thanksgiving while Kelly has a stray turkey that followed her home. The Bundy’s go for a vacation to Missouri where Peggy and Kelly take part in a local singing competition to try and win big money while Marcy tries to act out a dirty fantasy at the Bundy’s house. Gary hires Hal and Biff to help Al and Griff at the store during Christmas, but soon decides to replace his old employees with new ones as he thinks them to be better at work. Marcy is desperate to win the neighborhood decoration contest when Bud and Kelly kidnap life-sized statues of Mary and Joseph from her Nativity Scene and demand a ransom. Al ends up being sued by the obese woman he insulted at the store and has to find a way to get out of the charges or face a severe punishment.[Read More...]
