Married…With Children to be awarded at The 7th Annual TV Land Award Show

Yes, friends “Married…With Children” a series that ended decades ago is still remembered and missed by thousands like me. And it gives me immense pleasure to see that there are others too who completely adore the series. I am sure they must be like me who have grown up laughing and crying watching this series. With this news I am on cloud no.9.

According to the latest news our favorite show “Married…With Children” has been picked up by TV Land Award show. This award show is going to honor this show with an innovator award. They have chosen Married…With Children for an innovator award because they feel that it is a series whose influence is still felt on television today. This is one show that engraved out new territory, re-defining elements of the genre and opening pathways for others to follow. I am sure the creators must be very happy that they ended up making this series. After all guys, this is a big thing.

“Married…With Children” is one of the first hit sitcoms that FOX produced. With “Married…With Children” came new vistas for comedies as this series broke all barriers and made it easier for others to follow. With this let’s get back to the characters of the series who played a big role in making the series reach the position it enjoys today.

The comedy series revolved around Al Bundy, a character played by Ed Oneill. In the series he plays a middle aged man working at a shoe store who is stuck with his spendthrift wife and adolescent children. His wife Peg, a role played by Katey Sagal, is a housewife and all she knows is how to spend all the money that his husband gets home. Their elder daughter Kelly, (Christina Applegate), who is for sure very beautiful, but has no brains to use and lastly their son Bud (David Faustino), who has all the brains but at the same time is as star-crossed as his father. Not to forget their two neighbors Marcy (Amanda Bearse), her ex-husband Steve (David Garrison) and her second husband Jefferson (Ted McGinley).
