I am sure as fans of Married With Children tv show you must be well aware of the controversy involving one of the episodes named Her Cups Runneth Over, which had been aired in the third season of the series. To get over this controversy, the executives at Fox decided not to telecast the next episode that was titled I’ll See You in Court which was however not removed from the third season package of the first DVD release. Married With Children episode was later referred to as The Lost Episode and was ultimately aired on FX Network on 18th June 2002

I feel the whole hue and cry raised against the series during the protest actually served to popularize the series. It was due to the Rakolta’s intense protests to get the show cancelled that the audience got more interested in watching the show and as a result the ratings rose to a level that enabled the series to remain on air for next seven years.

It is sometimes said that this was a ploy of the network to increase the interest as well as the curiosity of the audiences towards the series, but nothing has been proved.
